The web browser version makes Rezility accessible to an entirely new group of people. Residents without smartphones previously did not have access to the services that Rezility provides. The web browser version gives those without smartphones the same opportunity to improve their lives with technology that those who own smartphones have.
It’s a Process
Rezility is always striving to improve and serve its users better. We want to create a tool that connects people to opportunity as effectively as possible. This is not an easy task. It involves testing, being wrong, evolving, and testing again. We are constantly looking for opportunities to learn and improve.
This is a process, which means that we often encounter obstacles to improving residents’ lives with technology. We view these obstacles as opportunities to conduct research and refine Rezility into a better tool.
One of the obstacles to reaching people with technology that we have encountered is very simple: some people do not have access to technology.
Let me be more specific. In our research and promotion efforts, we discovered that many of the residents who need the services featured on Rezility do not have smartphones. This trend is changing quickly, but it still presented an obstacle for the Rezility team to overcome.
Rezility wanted to find a way to better serve its users; people that need to be connected to their local services, but do not have access to mobile apps.
Enter the web browser version of Rezility! As of July 30, 2018, nearly all the features on the Rezility mobile app are now functional from any desktop computer with internet access.
Public Internet Access
Through research and discussion with our users, we discovered that those without smartphones or even computers of their own still access the internet with regularity.
Research shows that the use of library or community room computers is very common. According to the Pew Research Center, 23% of all Americans ages 16 and above use the library for access to computers and Wi-Fi networks. Further, 35% of library users whose household incomes are less than $30,000 visit the library in order to use the internet or desktop computers.
The Rezility browser version perfectly aligns with those trends. It is one of the many ways that Rezility strives to connect people to opportunity.
The browser version of Rezility looks and feels a lot like the mobile app. Just as a user taps on a smartphone screen to use the app, the user clicks the mouse on the monitor to create an account or log in to Rezility.
Enjoy the brand new Rezility browser version!
